  1. How do I obtain an Access Token?

    CSD E-Services team manages access to the API via user accounts. Each account has an associated “Subscription Key.” This is your API Key.

  2. What if I lose my Access Token?

    Please login to the API Developer Portal to access/copy your subscription/API key.

  3. Where to I place the Access Token?

    When making API calls, please include the API key in an HTTP header named “Csd-Api-Key".

  4. Will my Token expire?

    The API key does not expire automatically. However, CSD E-Services team has the ability to revoke/disable specific API keys.

  5. Who do I contact if I have questions about the API?

  6. How do I give API access to other developers on my team?

    Please contact CSD E-Service team with the developer’s first and last name, and email address. We’ll create an account for them, and send an email invite with information on how to access the developer portal.

  7. How often does this API change?

    We expect changes to occur at regular intervals throughout the QA/Beta period.

  8. Are new versions of the API backwards compatible?

    We follow symantic versioning rules for the API. Minor releases of the API will be backward compatible. Any major changes, specially breaking changes will be published as a new version.

  9. Is there a beta program for my application?

  10. How do I get early access to new versions of the API?

    Our goal is to provide enhancements to the API based on partner feedback. As such, we engage with our partners as early as possible in order to address and incorporate their input. Please contact Carestream Dental E-Services team to discuss your needs.
